Chespin Fan Club

Talk about how awesome Chespin is. Beware: If you don't like Chespin then shoo.

I had a feeling Chespin would get a topic.

I'm just here to say that I like Chespin too. XD He's my second favourite of the starters and indeed he has a very interesting design. Loving the biology behind his design actually (a chestnut and a mammal of some sort?). I'm also interested as to what Chespin will evolve into.

While I'm probably going to pick Fennekin first, Chespin will likely be my next pick.

If I get both versions, Chespin will definitely be my next choice!

Now I'm kinda tied between Fennekin and Chespin to be honest. Both look great though Chespin has a really unique look. I wonder how it will look when it evolves. Hopefully, it will be awesome. XD

That's a pretty good question. I also wonder this myself. I head some people say that it might be a part dark type (which would be neat to see); however, it's too early to tell now. XD

My theories for Chespin's second type:

Grass-Rock: Hey, Sudowoodo's a tree, and they made it a Rock-type! I don't know... Both Chesin and Sudowoodo are brown and green in color. But then again, I'm a weird person with weird thoughts. xP

Grass-Dark: I always thought Chespin had some similarities with Oshawott. Samurott, Oshawott's final evolutionary form, is a combination of samurai and otter. I always imagine samurais with steel weapons. Even though Samurott isn't part Steel-type, I was thinking about Chespin's final form to be a ninja or something. So, I thought it would be part Dark-type, especially since it used some sort of Dark-type move in the trailer. Meh. It's not very likely, but hey, a guy can dream.

Grass-Ground: It also kind of looks like a mole. Who knows? Maybe it'll be the new Sandslash or Dugtrio or something.

Grass-Dragon: This is probably my dumbest idea, but yeah. Very unlikely, but possible. And I say this ONLY because its tail resembles Fraxure's tail.

Btw. They already said there will be NO duel types for Pokemon X and Y. xD

Jeshire is correct to some extent as the official Pokemon website (American?) updated with this image:



However, this doesn't mean that the starters can't gain a second typing once they evolve. Most of the past starters usually gain a dual type after their first form.

Btw, nice observations. I never noticed the similarities between the tails of Fraxure and Chespin. Also Grass/Ground, that certainly sounds interesting. XD
