Microsoft 8 came out a few weeks ago right? Well, here the point, people were saying that Microsoft 8 is TOTALLY bad, me and my family said we hate it, but my dad has it on his computer, so what is your opinion on Microsoft 8?

windows 8 is so pointless... its not even good for regular computers. its more meant towards tablets and the touchscreen ones. in my opinion its horrible for a regular computer.

This. Windows 8 is something Microsoft should wait for few years. Like seriously, the Windows 7 was released 2011 or something and now Windows 8?!?! This getting out of hand Microsoft. The Touchscreen idea is bad because it's now gonna like Apple products or other tablets and touchscreen ones, but in computer version. Like c'mon Microsoft. You would've release like 1-2 years more. :/

I haven't had any experience with Windows 8 yet (sigh, me and my old computers). However, we were thinking about getting Windows 8 in terms of a new computer. After researching a bit, it does seem that Windows 8 isn't too much of a departure since Windows 7...then again, I know little about the computer software, so I shouldn't be the one to talk.
I'll go with an uncertain reaction towards Microsoft 8 for now.

My laptop is actually a Microsoft 8 one so yeah. I think it's...eh decent. It's almost exactly like my Ipod so it's like I have an Ipad but with a keyboard. That's my opinion!

Well....I haven't concluded that it's OK. Instead, it's driving me more and more crazy.The Metro interface looks pretty IMO, and I'm sure it would work well on a tablet, but on a laptop, its implementation feels forced and clunky. It's a bit annoying to use; I'll probably get used to it and conclude that it's OK, and maybe just as good as its predecessors, but I doubt I'll ever consider it an improvement over the old Start menu in terms of usability. I like change, but I don't like change purely for change's sake, and I don't see how this improves anything, beyond just looking prettier.

Well, it does look pretty neat, but the aesthetics are probably the best thing about this operating system....
