Favourite Mario Kart Game?

So what's your favourite Mario Kart game? Is it the original Super Mario Kart or the latest Mario Kart 7? Take your pick on the poll (you can pick more than two).

My personal favourite is either Mario Kart: Double Dash!! or Mario Kart Wii. They're both a load of fun; yet, unique at the same time. I just can't choose between the two as I have great memories of these two games.

64 and Double Dash are my absolute favorites. I don't know why they didn't keep the doubling up in MKWii... D: I hate Circuit with a passion, though.

I never tried MK64, but it looks like a fine game in the series.

I also remember trying Super Circuit, but the controls felt way too odd to play. Guess that makes two in disliking SC.

MK64 is on Virtual Console for 1000 Wii points ($10 via debit/credit card). You can use the GCN controller or the Classic Wii controller. I suggest using the GCN controller since it's the closest to a N64 controller you can get. Beware of Rainbow Road. It has a giant Chain Chomp that will literally go after you coming from in front. Oh, and the Yoshi's Mountain race track-that-I-just-forgot-what-it-was-called is annoying. It's still a fun game, though.

Ugh, Circuit... The controls and cheap AI is what annoyed me the most out of that game.

Ah, cool information for Mario Kart 64. I haven't used the Virtual Console that much yet (ironically, I use the 3DS eshop feature so often now); however, MK64 is definitely one of the games I'd love to get from the VC. I used to watch gameplay videos for MK64 and I do remember that chain chomp on Rainbow Road (though I never saw it as a threat as I usually watched the so called "pros" race on it from Youtube). Though the rainbow road in that game seems easier thanks to the railings.

Ah, and Circuit is another story. I didn't play it that much; however, the controls were much too clunky for me and true about the AI. They seem to pop out of nowhere at times (even when you think you've passed them for quite a while). I also disliked the confusing tracks in that game (the graphics made the tracks more confusing to me). I even enjoyed SMK (which I have from the VC) more than SC to be honest.

Lol well they are pros if they race on Rainbow Road on 150 CC. XD I tried. It felt like the chain chomp came every two seconds. But yes, 64 RR is easier because of the railings. Nintendo saw how easy it was and took them off in Double Dash and MKWii.

Still, give MK64 a shot when you can. :'D

...I'm not even going to comment on Circuit's controls. You already did it for me. XD But I have blasted the living heck out of the AI to 8th place and they still manage to come back. So freaking annoying.

Mario Kart 7 ftw! I really love mk7, so awesome.

Mario Kart Wii and Double Dash are my favs.

I guess it would be Mario Kart 7 because i play that most of the time!

I like mk64,mkwii and mk7 the best.

Double Dash. Love the levels, and the combos and unlocks are so fun to use and get. (Luigi and Baby Luigi in Luigi Cart. Great Combo.)

Double Dash is my favorite because the game is truly unique and I love the damn courses in there. Especially my favorite Rainbow Road is in this game. :>

Mario Kart 7 is close second.
