Pokemon X and Y - Starter Discussion

Talk all about the sixth generation starter Pokemon from the recently announced Pokemon X and Y here. Talk about their awesomeness, potential evolutions, and anything related to them here.

Here's the starters:



Grass: Chespin
Fire: Fennekin
Water: Froakie

Probably Fennekin for me.

I'm getting Fennekin.

I'm also going to pick Fennekin. Fire type and fennec foxes make a nice combo, and it's also very cute. XD

It has potential and I'd love to see what it becomes (just not fighting type please). Chespin looks interesting too, but I have no idea of how it would look like when it evolves.

...I don't like Froakie personally.

Chespin, it looks awesome though I can't wait till see what it'll evolve to.

Froakie, I always use the least used starter.

I pink the fire one. xDD I can't spell.

My vote goes to Chespin.
Grass types need more love.

I'd say Fennekin, Chespin and Froakie look terrible, but I usually choose based on stats.

Froakie is awesome! I always love water starters, they are boss.

Chespin, if I even choose to get the game. He looks the most original.

Fennekin is a rip-off of Vulpix in my opinion. We don't need another fire fox.

And we certainly don't need another frog/toad like Froakie. We already have the Poliwag line and Palpitoad, both of who are similar water types.

I dislike how they are all pure types though- I would have liked dual-types.

Fennekin is fire type, and is speculated to be part Psycic in its final form, which is my favorite type. Plus, it's a cute fox.
