Ok, so today I learned that nintendo is making a new version of the Wii, not the u, the orginal. It's called the Wii Mini. And this thing will be great! Heres why:
The huge bulkiness of the orginal wii was so annoying. I seriously had no where to fit this thing. Common the Wii is a pretty big console.
Backwards compatability? Please, who plays gamecube games anymore. I mean really if you wanna play the gamecube you can always buy one at any video game store because there is just such an over abudance of them
Why Upgrade to Wii U anyway? With the Wii being outdated when it came out, why not stay outdated? Heck Lets go backwards! Lets just play Wii games for the rest of our lives and what better way to do so then without an Internet connection? Playing games online is lame. It's not like its the best way to play Mario Kart or Super Smash bros or anything. Besides those games suck anyway. So no need for online compatability for the wii. Also theres no good games on the Shop Channel anyways.
Probably the best reason to buy the wii mini is it's amazing good looks. Seriously, nothing says I'm a predigest badass like a pedestal, so we better ditch that too.
Also since it's call Wii mini it's all about not taking up space. What better way to save room than to have to lay flat while you insert your disk from thetop of the system.
Finally, congrats to nintendo with their wonderful marketing! Lets launch this thing in Canada, so in the small chance that no one buys this thing, which is extreamly unlikely everyone will buy this, then at least not everyone will know about it the mistake.
Okay enough sarcasim.
I usally like nintendo and suppot them. But as soon as I heard this I was pretty disapointed in this. I think it is very stupid how they are realsing a min version of the Wii, when the Wii U pretty much just launched. Shouldn't they of put this out like, 2 years ago or something? And honestly the orginal wii is one of the smallest consoles , and the smallest nintendo console ever. And in order to make it even smaller they had to get rid of wifi connecting and the ability to play gamecube games. Also the disk is top loading so the consolehas to lay flat which takes up more space then it would on its side, if it had a pedestal. ALSO it's launching in Canada only. No offense to the half of you from their, but why is it launching in Canada? I honestly think it is because if it doesn't sell well.
Anyway sorry for this large post but I thought a rant would be fun to do. I could of made it funnier, but then it'd be a lot longer.

Sadly, I'm afraid this thing will probably sell well considering how well the other marketing strategies Nintendo put out recently did.
