3D (Remade) Movie Opinions?

So what are your opinions of the various movies getting re-released into the theaters with 3D effects? Some of these recent movies include a ton of the older Disney movies. Worth to see again or were they simply fill-ins for cash? Your thoughts?

While it is nice to see these older movies again on the big screen, I personally can't help but feel that they were simply done for the money and nothing else. The companies rarely did anything afterward for their franchises upon making 3D remakes, and just calling it a day afterwards. Yes, all movies are made for profits...but remaking it simply in a remade version many years later just doesn't sit right with me.

Though that's my opinion.

I'm with u, EM. I've watched pretty much every Disney movie as a kid except Hunchback of Notre Dame (dont know how to spell it). I mean, its nice that they are going to make it 3d and all, but what's the difference besides the 3d part? No new scenes? No new characters? Nothing except the 3d part.

^Whew, I'm glad I'm the not the only one with that view. I agree that the lack of new features really puts down the notability of seeing a "remake" of these movies. It's fun to watch again, but still what is the true purpose of seeing the same movie again with "repolished" scenes.

Also I watched quite a lot of Disney movies myself, so I understand your feel (never watched the Hunchback one either ).

3D movies are cool... but yeah, you're right, no need characters.
