Why do you like anime?

The name of the topic is pretty self-explanatory (title namesake and all). So what began your interests in the anime in general?

To me, I was personally interested in the stories presented in the Japanese anime. They are usually a lot more deeper than most of the other kinds of stories/animations. I also like the beauty that the Japanese animation has in terms of backgrounds and settings. Traditional hand drawn animation is among my favourite animation styles, and considering how scarce they are in today's standards (compared to the past), the Japanese really shine in this aspect. The character designs in most animes are also rather cool and appealing as well, so that's another bonus.

I love the fantasy aspects of many anime and being someone who loves things that aren't normal, I am fascinated by it. Magic, Monsters, and anything else fantasy.... I love it all.
Most countries don't really Delve into Fantasy type genre's, instead we get stuck with Crime Drama's and Sitcoms... But Japan does all sorts of genre's.

My friend Charlie made me get into Pokemon and Yu-Gi-Oh so...yeah. He's pretty much why I am..*turns hat around* TheGothicTrainer! x3

Anime is really interesting to me. I love watching it when I can.

Each anime has different qualities and art. I love to see the storylines too.

I guess it's because they're different than Western cartoons. I also wanna learn Japanese too.

It's entertaining and it can teach people a lesson. Like some have a moral behind the story.

Anime are a lot different than other cartoons. As said before, they're a lot deeper, and also for older audience. They're much much more serious. Japanese stuff are pretty unique, and very interesting for western fellas.

I've started watching anime when i was like 6 years old. All kids were crazy about it... The only bad thing about anime is that there are too many, and good old cartoons are kinda forgot. Some are pretty violent for like 5 year olds to watch them.

When I have childern, they ain't gonna watch these 'till they get a bit older!
