Favourite Pokemon Generation?

So as we all know, there are five generations in Pokemon which consist of the following:

First Generation (Pokemon Red/Blue/Green/Yellow + FireRed/LeafGreen)


Second Generation (Pokemon Silver/Gold/Crystal + HeartGold/SoulSilver)


Third Generation (Pokemon Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald)


Fourth Generation (Pokemon Diamond/Pearl/Platinum)


Fifth Generation (Pokemon Black/White/Black 2/White 2)


So which gen consists of your favourite games?

My personal favourite gen is generation 2 as I always loved playing Pokemon Silver and Gold as a kid. The first generation is also very special as Yellow was my first ever video game.

Black and White (5th)

SECOND!

Diamond and Pearl (4th)

THIRD!

Silver and Gold (2nd)

Silver my first Pokemon game!

Between Gen 2 and Gen 3.

Generation 2 has some of my pokemon that I like there.
Generation 3 has best places, and it has all of my favorite pokemon in that region.

Hoenn (Gen 3) in fact is my favorite Pokemon Generation.

Second is Unova
Third is Johto
Forth is Kanto
Fifth is Sinnoh

I pretty much like all the generations for the following reasons:

Gen I had Team Rocket. How can you not love those guys with whips?
Gen II had shinies and Kris. Kris > Lyra.
Gen III had Blaziken. <3
Gen IV had the coolest region style in my opinion.
Gen V had the best music.

Gen 3 has to be my favorite for many different reasons.

gen III is the best gen for many reasons like what TTE said.

By far mine is generation three. It was just overall well done. And in this generation, more than any other, really made my have to train my Pokemon. The gym leaders, your rival, team magma/aqua, and the elite four were just generally a lot more difficult than in any other generation.

This generation posted somewhat of a challenge for me, which was a nice change from all the other generations. Also, some of the Pokemon they introduced in this generation really changed the metagame.

Third Gen was amazing! So its my fav!

Third Gen, for Mudkips and it was my first handheld game in general. And plus, Wally.

Probably a tie between Fourth and Fifth, then Third, then Second, then First.

Gen 5 or Gen 3. I really like oshawott but I also like some of Hoenn's cities.
