GamerzUniverse Revamp (Aug, 6, 2013)

Hello members of GU!

We stated before that we will be doing a forum revamp around this time, well the revamp is finished and here are some quick update on what was changed.
The revamp was minor so dont expect much to be changed.

New GU Forum!

So we thought we needed to change forums for the ravamp and were planning to move the whole forum into a zetaboards forum. After the poll, most users didn't want to move so we came to the decision that their would be two GamerzUniverse forums, one here and the other one at zetaboards. The users can join either one and vice versa.

Forum Topic Changes

- TV Shows & Movies/Anime and Manga/Literature/Digital World was merged into one section called Entertaiment and Media

- Pokemon Online Activities was merged into Pokemon & Online Activities instead of having two different topics

- Upcoming Games is now Upcoming Games/Consoles

Forum User Changes

- Fixed user ranks for certain people
- Adding a new banned rank

GStore Changes

We changed all the prices on the items. We are also thinking of adding new prizes in the near future.


*Name Change: Before - 30 Gcoins
     New Value - 100 Gcoins

*GU Lottery: Before -  30 Gcoins/ticket with max 3 tickets
    New Value - 100 Gcoins/ticket with max of 3 tickets

*Personalized Ranks: Before - 300 Gcoins
    New Value - 300 Gcoins (No change)

*GU Battle Ticket: Before - 15 Gcoins (limited time)
  New Value - 50 Gcoins

*Custom User Title: Before - 15 Gcoins
   New Value - 50 Gcoins

*Personalized Badges: Before - 150 Gcoins
     New Value - 150 Gcoins (No Change)

** These prizes can also change prices anytime**

GU Graphics Changes

- A BIG THANK YOU TO CHROME FOR THE AWESOME BANNER FRAME, IT LOOKS AWESOME
- A new banner has been placed for the theme of summer (yea i didn't put much work into it )
- A new skin is being looked into for a better skin for the forum later on

I have some serious questions with this new forum.

Why is it nessacary to have 2? Either this one will be the only one used, or the other one, or both will be used equaly but to a lower potiental

I don't mind moving forums, but I think we should only have one... It will be to hard to focus on both and provide good content for both. Also new users will be discourged if they join the lesser of the 2.

I hate to be negative, but I really don't like this idea.

I'm afraid I have to agree with Will. Having two forums running with the same name, same theme and the same topics is going to be incredibly confusing. Also, it's just going to divide the community: instead of having everyone in one place, we'll have some people on this forum and some people on the other one. Or, more likely, everyone will be on one forum, and the other will just get ignored.

The other changes seem neat, though .

^ I'm agreeing with them both, we should just stick with one community. What's the benefit and point of having both communities? As far as I can see with the other community, there's less activity than this one. I mean some members aren't posting, we're lacking our staff and this particular forum has more activity and statistics than the Zetaboard one.

+rep to those above 3 posters. They've done something that I can't say better than them. They know what to do.

The forumotion GU will remain as the main GU community. This will be the site that work will be done for.

^^ What about the other site?

The other site will still remain; however, no activity is planned for it anytime soon.

The forumotion GU we're using now will be the GamerzUniverse we would represent for the community.

I have a question, say if a naughty member breaks the rules here but not other GU and visa versa. Will they be able to access the other GU?

No. If the person is banned in here, it implies in other GU Forum. Simple as that.
