well i heard it was releasing oct 13, i believe.. also has awesome graphics from some gameplays ive seen.. then again, i dont know if its better than xbox and ps3.

Yeah, but the graphics is definitely a big step up from the Wii from what I've seen.

Also there's another controller for it called the "Pro Controller":



It looks like the standard controller, so I kind of like that.

..But then again Microsoft did supposedly copy Nintendo's motion controls through the Kinect (with the Wii remotes ).

Still I'm glad the controller somewhat reminds me of the gamecube controllers because apparently the gamecube controllers no longer are supported with this console.

Also apparently the Wii U is being released on November 18th.

Wow i didnt notice that the wii u controllers look like microsoft's... LOL! but yea, i guess microsoft did copy nintendos idea of wii remote.. im sad too that gamecube controllers are not supported. Just Nintendo wants the max amount of cash

- arguably the best controllers Nintendo has ever made (in my opinion).

Whether or not I'll be getting the Wii U or not, it's going to be awkward to play the new Smash Bros. without the gamecube controllers (I've used them since Melee). Well maybe this "Microsoft rip-off" (lol) controller will be ok. It somewhat resembles the gamecube controller.

Also the box artwork of the launch title Wii U games have been released. New Super Mario Bros. U and Nintendo Land:

Yes, I agree about NSMB U (it at least tries to make itself stand out and be different from NSMB Wii). I also agree about what you said about Nintendo Land though lol.

Nintendo Land is one random game though I'm guessing it's the Wii Sports version for the Wii U (one of those party games).

Wow. Wii U boxcart is different. I'm pretty looking forward to this system but I'm not gonna buy it when it comes out in release date :/

See...this proves that the future generation is more ready for the future. Expect big differences in small upgrades...that doesn't make sense, doesn't it?

Also I've heard of another thing for the Wii U. Apparently, the console comes with ONE tablet-thing, and you can't buy it separately. So what is one going to do if they drop and smash the Wii U tablet? Younger children always drop their gamecube controllers/wii motes/ds systems, so I'd fear what would happen if this was the case.

LOL, y not sell separately, that's the dumbest thing i heard... Nintendo's not thinking right. -.- They should sell it separately.. Well maybe if nintendo doesnt do it some other cheaper company might. Like they always do with nintendo things. Like gamecube, wii controllers..

^Yeah, it is a pretty dumb move. That tablet looks so fragile too. However, let's see if this become reality...

Also it is true that another company might make an unofficial Wii U tablet; however, it's definitely a lot more complex than a simple GameCube controller or Wiimote. I doubt Nintendo would go that far to not releasing it separately (unless they offer repairs for the tablet and still doesn't sell it). Remember, the tablet itself is like a mini TV, so it takes more material and costs to make even one of them (compared to past controllers).

If I do get a Wii U, I'm sticking with the Pro Controllers (aka Gamecube lookalike or Xbox's twin brother controller). Like a pro!

Well if they added a 2nd tablet the Price would go up by more than $100 if they added another one in it. Besides the Wii U can only use 2 at a time anyway, and I really see no use for a 2nd one, since normal wii remotes can be used anyway.

And yes the Wii U Pro controller is the Xbox controller painted. But this is okay because I think Xbox is one of the best controllers, they feel good. And I hate the Game Cube controller.

I'm defenitly interested in it. It seems like it can do a lot, did you see the Wii Tv video? But I don't see my self getting it when it first comes out (November 18th). If I do get it, it will be after the first price cut. Which may not be that long.*cough* 3ds $240 to $160*

Anyway is anyone getting it?

I want to get it, but I love the GameCube controller. It's so easy for me. As for a Xbox controller, which I did try. I hated it.... So I guess that's a drawback. Also I already have a wii and a wii u...... Its just weird.. Lol

I love mah Wii, but a portable wii will be ok. The controllers look like the standard classic controler except some of the buttons and joysticks are in another area. I might get the Wii U soon, I don't know yet. I'm just mainly focused on mah 3ds x3

The Wii U is being released in 2 days from now! Perhaps earlier in other places.

Let's see how the Wii U does in terms of sales! I'm not getting it anytime soon though...
